REALITY-Become an Anime Avatar

What REALITY is for

REALITY-Become an Anime Avatar is a social app for people who want to meet, stream and chat through a custom 3D anime-style character instead of appearing directly on camera. It suits users interested in virtual identity, avatar-led livestreaming and anime-focused communities. The front-facing camera tracks facial expressions and head movement, so the avatar can react while you talk.

The features that shape the choice

• Build an original avatar: Change the character’s appearance, clothing and other visual details to create a recognisable online identity.
• Stream from a phone: REALITY is designed around mobile broadcasting, without requiring dedicated motion-capture equipment.
• Join group broadcasts: Collaborative streams can include up to four participants, making the app more suited to shared conversations than strictly solo broadcasts.
• Socialise in virtual spaces: Users can explore messaging and discovery features, as well as create rooms for online hangouts.

What you give up

The avatar-first format is the main reason to choose REALITY over a conventional social or livestreaming app. It gives you distance from your real-world appearance and makes character design part of the social experience. The trade-off is that the audience, interactions and content are tied to a specific virtual-world style. If your priority is straightforward video sharing or a broader general-purpose network, those strengths may matter less.

Scale and reception

REALITY, Inc. publishes the app in the Social category. It has more than 10 million installs and a 3.65 rating from about 105,000 reviews. Those figures suggest a sizeable audience, while the middling rating is a reminder to compare the actual social experience—not just the avatar tools—against the alternative you are considering.
